Cockpit has extended the deadline for awards open for Weavers and Leatherworkers. The deadline to apply is 25th April. It has also added a new award for Haberdashers.

Leathersellers’ Award at Cockpit

An award for makers working in leather looking to take their business to the next level. The Leathersellers’ Award offers up to three years of business support, subsidised studio space at Cockpit Studios Deptford, and use of the well-equipped Leather Hub, generously sponsored by the Leathersellers’ Company.

Clothworkers’ Award at Cockpit

An award designed to help three graduate weavers each year set up in business. Weavers can be working in any form, for example, making products, creating woven textile art, working with mills and/or making samples for industry. The Clothworkers Award includes up to three years of business support and subsidised shared studio space at Cockpit Studios Deptford, equipped with Leclerc, Louet, ARM looms and a dye area.

Haberdashers’ Award at Cockpit – Deadline 2nd May

An award designed to help start-up makers working in knit to develop their business. The Haberdashers’ Award includes one year of business support and subsidised studio space at Cockpit.
