Fabrics from Baltex
The warp-knitted spacer fabric from Baltex (pictured above) is a recent development, which has airflow, compression comfort and moisture wicking properties. It is inherently bacteriostatic and machine washable, and can also be treated with PCM (Phase change materials) to introduce further thermoregulation. This UK-made fabric is recyclable and would typically used for foam replacement, insulation/ventilation, as a mattress topper or in healthcare, pet or equine and police body armour liner applications.
Baltex designs, manufactures and supplies a variety of high performing technical textiles for a range of high performance markets. The company supplies advanced materials to industries such as Aerospace, Military, Medical, Composites and Automotive.
Since the foundation of the company in 1831, innovation has been at the heart of the business. Approaching 200 years of quality, dedication and constant innovation – this is why Baltex has been an industry leader for so long. Starting as a silk and lace manufacturer, but adapting to specialist fabrics after facing fierce competition from cheap imports, Baltex has always held adaptability and innovation as important principles.
