Have your say: Diversity and inclusion in UK fashion survey

02/10/2023

Help the UK fashion industry become more accessible and representative by taking part in the new The Fashion DEI Census, an industry-wide survey to audit the demographics of the UK fashion industry.

It has been launched by the British Fashion Council (BFC), The Outsiders Perspective and the (Fashion Minority) Report to provide a current benchmark of the UK fashion industry and help the sector track progress against diversity, equity and inclusion (D, E & I) goals.

The survey is anonymous and takes just five minutes to complete. It covers all job roles (retail, brand, media, agency, freelancers etc), all functions (marketing, operations, HR, finance, store etc) and all seniorities (from graduate to C-suite).

It is the first part of a comprehensive review of the state of play of diversity, equity and inclusion in the UK fashion industry, and will feed into a wider report to be published later this year, as part of a pilot programme led by the three organisations.

The report will provide much needed data and analysis on the status of D, E & I in the industry today, as well as inform a best practice playbook – ensuring that future progress can be real and measurable.
