Offering a close collaborative service to our customers, the company has built a reputation for the sourcing of plain and fancy woven fabrics specialising in natural fibres such as silks, cottons, wools and blends. More recently, Henry Bertrand has also included yarns that are sourced responsibly and sustainably, complying with REACH, Oekotex and GOTS.

Managing Director Katy Bercovitch said: “Our range has a distinctive look with most of our luxury fabrics supplied to many high-end design houses in the UK and around the world. We work closely with our mills to develop fabrics in keeping with the season’s trends. Specifically, in the UK market we are in a fairly unique position in so far as we are one of the few luxury fabric suppliers still with warehousing and showroom in central London. Our range is made up of a stock service including plain silks, velvets, brocades, damasks, cloques and Jacquards.”

HENRY BERTRAND bespoke service

“Working closely with our customers we can offer a custom dyeing service on our plains and bespoke colours in our yarn-dyed qualities. We can also offer a bespoke service for our more decorative fabrics like the brocades and Jacquards. Both these services come with the flexibility of small minimums helping our customers to plan their requirements and avoid wastage which has always been part of our ethos.”

“We understand more than ever that designers are looking for something special and unique: our philosophy is straightforward and that is to offer creativity, flexibility and service whilst hopefully giving our customers value for money. Our main focus for this coming season is to further enhance our close relationships with our existing and new customers. We can arrange a visit to our showroom with social distancing or show the collection by Zoom or face to face at their convenience. For some customers that are more wary of travelling we can arrange loan of the collection along with a video chat.”

Commenting on their collection for AW21, Katy continues: “Our patterns this season are inspired by the balancing of nature and modern life.  Textured weaves, contouring and irregular surfaces, two-tone grain effects and nuances created from interesting yarns come to the fore. From rustic weaves to opulent silks: cloques and Jacquards with metallic options: modern and classic brocades and multi-coloured stripes and herringbones: the collection is diverse and inspired. Our classics include rich heavy crepes in silk and wools plus luxury velvets”.
