Made Smarter West of England: Support and grants for manufacturing SMEs

05/08/2022

Support and potential grants are available to help profit-making manufacturing SMEs based in Bath and North East Somerset, Bristol and South Gloucestershire adopt Industrial Digital Technologies (IDT), via the new Made Smarter West of England programme.

Eligible businesses could receive grant funding, training or support worth up to £20,000, 50% match funded.

Support packages might include:

  • grant funding to implement IDT hardware or software
  • digital leadership training to upskill staff to deliver a digital technology strategy
  • student internships

The support package offered is determined through a bespoke Digital Roadmap created for the SME as part of their one-to-one session.

The scheme is organised by the West of England Combined Authority delivered in partnership with the University of the West of England and the National Composites Centre.
