12/10/2023

Ulster Yarns are creating 30 new jobs at their Dewsbury headquarters following an investment of £3 million in new technology.

The company is part of the Ulster Carpets Group and has been producing premium woollen yarn in West Yorkshire since the industrial revolution.

Graham Hutton, Managing Director of Ulster Yarns, said: “We are excited at this latest development and to again be investing in the community here in West Yorkshire.

“By the end of this year we will have our new carding machine fully operational, and this has led to a number of new job opportunities that we are actively recruiting for.”

Graham added that Ulster Yarns have a proud history of long service at Ulster Yarns, having recently recognised nearly 15 members of staff with over 25 years’ service.

“As a family company, we are a reliable employer that is invested in our community here in Yorkshire. We supply yarn directly to Ulster Carpets to make carpets and rugs for homes, hotels, cruise ships and casinos across the world, so our work is in high demand.”
