Places available: Fashion and Textiles Occupational Traineeship at Blackburn College
Places are still available to take part in a Fashion, Textiles and Manufacturing Occupational Traineeship at Blackburn College. This programme comprises 10 weeks of training followed by a two-week work placement at a local employer such as fashion brand Community Clothing (Cookson & Clegg), furniture specialist Plumbs, weaving firm John Spencer Textiles and upholstery and furnishing company Panaz/Essential Furnishings.
The programme, which starts later this month (September 2022) offers a great way to progress into a career in the fashion and textile sector.
UKFT took part in a recruitment event this week for the new Fashion, Textiles and Manufacturing Occupational Traineeship at Blackburn College this week, alongside these local employers. Here, employers outlined what a career in fashion and textile manufacturing entails, progression route routes and opportunities, as well as what the programme offers.
Recruitment for the scheme is still open. If you would like to get involved, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
