UK fashion and textile firms win Queen’s Awards for Enterprise 2022

UK fashion and textile firms have been revealed as the winners of the 2022 Queen’s Awards for Enterprise, including childrenswear brand Baby Mori, ethical womenswear brand Birdsong London and technical textile specialist Heathcoat Fabrics.

The winners from our sector are among 232 businesses across the UK to have been recognised by The Queen on her birthday as among the best in the country.

Awards have been won in the categories of International Trade, Innovation and Sustainable Development. There is also an award for Promoting Opportunity.

FASHION

  • Amaia Clothing, a childrenswear brand, won the 2022 International Trade Award.
  • Baby Mori, a childrenswear brand, won the 2022 International Trade Award.
  • Bambino Mio, a resuable nappy brand, won the 2022 Sustainable Development Award.
  • Birdsong London, an ethical womenswear brand, won the 2022 Sustainable Development Award. Birdsong’s co-founder Sophie Slater is a UKFT Rise ambassador.
  • Eako Limited, trading as Elvis & Kresse, an accessories brand made from reclaimed materials, won the 2022 Sustainable Development Award.
  • House of Hackney, a print-focused interiors, fashion and lifestyle brand, has won the 2022 International Trade Award.
  • Jack Brodie, a cashmere knitwear brand, won the 2022 International Trade Award.
  • Missoma, a demi-fine jewellery brand, has won the 2022 International Trade Award.
  • Monica Vinader, a jewellery brand, has won the 2022 Sustainable Development Award.

TEXTILES

  • Bancroft Soft Furnishings, which specialises in FR drapery and upholstery fabrics for contract interiors, won the 2022 International Trade Award.
  • Heathcoat Fabrics, a high performance technical textile specialist, won the 2022 Innovation Award. Read more about Heathcoat as part of UKFT’s British Textile Week here.
  • The Wool Packaging Company, trading as Woolcool, has won the 2022 Sustainable Development Award.
