BEIS Rules of Origin Survey on EU inputs for future trade agreements

30/03/2022

UK fashion and textile businesses: Do you export products or collections containing EU-originating materials? Please complete this short survey to help the UK government better understand supply chains and production patterns ahead of negotiations for future free trade agreements (FTAs).

The government has started or will shortly start negotiations on a new set of FTAs with a number trade partners, including but not limited to Canada, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Mexico.

A large number of UK fashion and textile companies use EU inputs in production, so UKFT is working with the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) to present evidence ahead of the start of these negotiations.

UKFT urges companies to complete the survey to ensure the interests of the UK fashion and textile industry are represented in these negotiations, helping our sector to take advantage of the new FTAs as fully as possible.

The deadline for responses is 14th April 2022.
