Seahawk Apparel and Sseams Made In Scotland Factory Collection
Seahawk Apparel, premium workwear manufacturer and UKFT Member, announced the launch of its Factory Collection in collaboration with the apparel creative agency Sseams. Both based in Scotland, the businesses share the wish to bring back garment manufacturing to the UK.
The first instalment of their partnership consists in offering brands the opportunity to develop their products in Scotland, in Seahawk Apparel’s Glenrothes (Fife) manufacturing facility. From product development to material sourcing and pattern making, Seahawk Apparel and Sseams will provide brands with an extended range of services.
Their partnership is rooted in a desire to champion UK garment manufacturing and to bring mills, manufacturers and designers closer together. Rob Sayles, Managing Director at Seahawk Apparel, said:
“The team combined offers years of experience in product creation and supply chain management. If we can take learnings from other countries that have built a strong ecosystem around garment manufacturing and implement those in Scotland, we have a fantastic opportunity to build a sustainable future for a truly skilled workforce. We are excited to see what the future holds.”
The Seahawk Apparel x Sseams Factory Collection features 10 designs inspired by a modern workwear style. Designed and made in Scotland, this range showcases Seahawk Apparel’s technical expertise in weatherproof and performance outerwear, as well as British fabric mills.
