UKFT has held consultations in Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales and England for a range of National Occupational Standards for the UK fashion and textile industry, covering Manufacturing Sewn Products, Manufacturing Textile Products and Footwear, Leathergoods and Leather Production.

National Occupational Standards (NOS) are the recognised standards that our industry works and trains by. They provide the foundation content of qualifications, training, apprenticeships and professional development across the UK.

Following face-to-face and online consultation with industry professionals, the final draft standards and revised functional maps are now available for review online.

The open consultation is the chance for you to check the revisions to the standards and confirm you are happy with the changes or have further comments for us.

UKFT will then review final comments and suggestions, in preparation to submit to the NOS Governance Group in early 2020.
