Member Spotlight: The Cotton Textile Company

UKFT member The Cotton Textile Company (TCTC) is an apparel manufacturer, founded by Richard King and Sam Webb in 2013, with offices in Brentwood, Essex, and a base in Cornwall. Between them, Richard and Sam have extensive industry knowledge and management expertise.
They work with designers and brands from the worlds of fashion, lifestyle and sport to produce high-quality clothing, fashion accessories, workwear, towels and homeware. TCTC offers a 360° design, development and manufacturing service, which includes the design process; the creation of CAD visuals and tech packs; sourcing of fabrics, trims and labels; prototypes and sampling; garment testing; bulk production; packaging; quality control; shipping; and fulfilment services.
The company has experienced production, sales and marketing teams, who are focused on making sure that every client receives excellent quality and service. The production team liaise closely with the client, at each stage of their project, to ensure they are always fully informed, and make sure everything runs smoothly and stays on track.
Sam, who is Head of Production, said: “I love establishing connections with people and I have always worked in client-facing roles. Working with our clients to take an idea on paper through the development, sampling and production processes gives me, and our team here, a great sense of satisfaction. It’s so exciting to turn someone’s dream or idea into reality. We take care of the production process, collaborating closely with clients and the factory. We will ensure that every stage of your project meets our high standards and is delivered on time.”
Sam goes on to say: “Customer service excellence and meeting clients’ expectations are very important to us. Honest and clear communication is vital, and we are very good at it.”
Regarding ethical and social issues in the supply chain, Sam said: “We pride ourselves on our responsible approach towards manufacturing and have strong relationships with our partner. We also regularly visit the factories we use.”
Supporting and developing manufacturing in the UK is part of TCTC’s long-term strategy, and the company has exciting new projects in progress to further this aim. TCTC also provide in-house production services, via The Garment Company, such as producing and applying customised prints and embroidery for clothing and accessories. In addition, TCTC’s Branded Workwear company supplies branded workwear, uniforms and PPE. Mish and Mash is TCTC’s online shopping emporium. It offers an eclectic range of quality products, many of which can be personalised.
