Survey: Reshoring in the UK fashion and textile industry

24/06/2019

Researchers at the London School of Economics (LSE) are conducting a study on the globalisation challenges facing the UK textile and apparel industry, including offshoring and reshoring.

Dr Patrizia Casadei and Prof Simona Iammarino from the Department of Geography and Environment at LSE are investigating the significance of the sector within the national context, as well as the main motivations to bring production processes back to the UK and/or the main advantages/disadvantages to producing domestically.

If you are a UK manufacturer of fashion and textiles, or a UK-based designer, brand or retailer, the UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT) and LSE would appreciate you taking the time to complete the following survey.

The survey will only take between 5 to 10 minutes of your time and your individual support would to help identify the major recent trends and possible new ways to support the UK fashion and textile industry.

Responses will be strictly confidential and completely anonymous, and data from this research will be reported only in an aggregated form. The results will be shared with the respondents through blogs and reports circulated with the help of UKFT.

If you have any question about the survey or the related procedures, please email p.casadei@lse.ac.uk.
