Tateossian: Making a statement for SS23

14/06/2022

UK exhibitor Tateossian is unveiling an eyecatching new collection of men’s accessories for SS23 at the June 2022 edition of Pitti Uomo in Florence.

Tateossian SS23 Pitti

Tateossian offers men and women a luxury collection of refined and meticulously crafted accessories that are unique and wearable. Founded by Robert Tateossian in 1990, his eponymous brand is renowned for pushing the boundaries in jewellery design by pairing unconventional materials with more traditional stones to create contemporary jewellery and accessories of high quality. This singular approach has made Tateossian the destination for men and women confident in their sense of style, who choose collectible pieces each season to reflect their sensibilities and approach to fashion.

Menswear and men’s jewellery are seeing a revolution, and it’s not happening quietly. This is all about loud expression because, after all, fortune favours the bold.

This season, it is all about making a statement, embracing colour and playing around with style. The old rules are out, and we are redefining what is masculine and what is feminine. Style norms are being tested, broken and reshaped. With all these experimental trends influenced by pop culture, the evolution of what is acceptable coincides with what is fashionable.

Sustainability is incredibly important, now more than ever. New eco-friendly styles for 2023 include pieces featuring beads made from recycled glass, vegan leather alternatives and plastic bottles miraculously recycled into macramé thread. And their commitment to the environment doesn’t stop with product design – all their packaging is sustainably sourced and recyclable.

Pearls have experienced a huge resurgence and are a top choice for fashionable men, proving they can be truly versatile and genderless. Biker chic is also back with a modern update, and layered necklaces, stacked bracelets and chunky rings are modernised this time around with unusual materials and meaningful symbols.

Classic pieces are a vital staple, but traditional doesn’t have to mean boring. This season’s beautifully designed pieces will bring an element of understated interest to an outfit. With clean lines and elegant shapes, the jewellery speaks for itself and transitions seamless between any classic look – from business chic to cashmere casual.

Tateossian’s sustainable developments

The new Vetro Recycle Monochromo is an update on the original Vetro design, and provides a layered effect with a strand of blue or red tones beads paired with a matching macramé braid. The beads are made from recycled glass from old bottles that are then tumble polished to give them a frosted finish. But the use of eco-friendly materials in this bracelet doesn’t stop there. The macramé is produced from recycled plastic bottles and hand-woven into an intricate snake knot, a technique that takes two hours to complete.

Tateossian has found an innovate new alternative for leather, to accompany the vegan Chelsea bracelets. The new Mini Pop Corn is made from exactly that – corn. Despite being derived from a grain, this bracelet still has the look and feel of luxury leather, giving the best of both worlds and finished with an evil eye charm for protection.
