Growing B2C international sales globally: UKFT and Global-e

14/12/2021

UKFT is working with Global-E, which aims to remove the main friction points of crossborder ecommerce for both customers and brands.

“We effectively take away the borders so you are border agnostic,” explains Neil Kuschel, European CEO of Global-e. “It doesn’t matter where the customer or you are in the world, and we can make it feel like you are buying or selling domestically.”

UKFT held a webinar with Global-e to explore:

  • Why you should consider selling across borders via your ecommerce channels
  • What you need to think about to sell internationally
  • How to localise when selling internationally
  • How Global-e works
  • The latest updates regarding Shopify integration
  • Who can use Global-e
  • New developments including translation and marketing services

A recording and document is available to UKFT members. Please contact your membership manager or info@ukft.org for more details. Visit www.ukft.org/membership to find out more about becoming a UKFT member.

Global-e has recently become Shopify’s exclusive third-party end-to-end cross border ecommerce selected partner, which effectively means Global-e is now building all of its capability and functionality natively into a Shopify checkout. The Global-e solution is suitable for brands and retailers with a minimum of £50,000 in international ecommerce sales, although this threshold may be reduced for UKFT members.

Global-e works with more than 500 companies across Europe, the USA and Asia including Marks & Spencer, Harvey Nichols, Liberty of London, Hugo Boss, River Island, Sweaty Betty, Monsoon, Johnstons of Elgin and John Smedley. UKFT has been working with Global-e based on recommendations from long-standing members which have found its solutions to be particularly effective post-Brexit as well as helping them to grow ecommerce sales in the rest of the world.
