As the weather hots up, UKFT member Boardies has teamed up with iconic UK department store Liberty London to create a limited edition collection of swim shorts combining Liberty’s rich archive of vibrant prints and Boardies’ world class quality. These unique designs feature Repreve fibre, made from recycled plastic water bottles, as well as sustainable packaging materials.

Available in matching father and child swim short sizes, there are four prints:

• Studio Bohemia – a kaleidoscopic abstract hand painted print with rich vibrant colours
• Charleston Posy – classic Liberty floral print made with brush strokes
• Curious Land – a visionary celebration of the glory of nature
• Liberty Dazzle – a subtle ditsy floral print

Each pair of swim shorts comes with a matching mini Liberty x Boardies bag.

Last year, Boardies, a privately owned, London-based business that designs, manufactures and sells distinctive swimwear products around the world, was honoured with a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade.

The UKFT member brand, which was launched in 2014 by Nick Crook (a former Levi’s, K-Swiss, Reebok and Pentland Brands executive), successfully negotiated the challenges of Covid-19, pivoting to a direct to consumer strategy, resulting in a six-fold increase in online sales.

Despite the pandemic and its restrictions on travel and holidays, Boardies products have continued to sell to customers around the world, especially in the USA, Canada, Australia, Asia and the Middle East. This success in developing international markets has helped Boardies to trade through the pandemic and earned the company the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade 2021.
