Discover British Brands at Paris Men’s and Women’s Pre Fashion Week  (17-22 January 2024)

18/01/2024

The UK Fashion & Textile Association (UKFT) has announced that it will accompany more than 140 UK brands to the January 2024 edition of Paris Men’s and Women’s Pre-collection  Fashion Week, where the UK presence provides a significant draw for international buyers from around the world.

Renowned globally for being a key marketplace for high end fashion, Paris Fashion week encompasses a selection of events for menswear, womenswear, lingerie  and jewellery. Running from 17 – 22 January, an exciting mix of UK brands can be found at tradeshows including Man, Tranoï, Welcome Edition and Who’s Next as well as at multi-brand showrooms including The Alphabet, Awaykin, Emma Jones Consultancy and Rainbowwave.

UKFT’s work in Paris is supported by the Department for Business and Trade (DBT), enabling it to coordinate and promote the strength of British creativity and design as part of its “UKFT Global Brands” campaign. UKFT will be running the Discover British Brands in Paris social media campaign, highlighting the different companies showing in Paris whilst also compiling a useful map to point buyers in the direction of British companies wherever they are showing.

The menswear offering at Welcome Edition continues to grow with the show now using two locations on rue de la Roquette and rue de Lappe. The show will host 18 different UK menswear brands with Gloverall, Grenson, Invertère, Peregrine and Uskees showing for the first time. The Alphabet and Awaykin also have strong UK representation. The Alphabet has nine UK brands across two venues including Denzil Patrick and Yuhan Wang whilst Awaykin has expanded in a new location on rue Réaumur with 10 UK brands.

Who’s Next, Impact and Bijhorca (alongside the Salon International de la Lingerie) will return to Paris Expo at the Porte de Versailles with 17 UK companies under one roof.

UK highlights at Paris Fashion Week this season include:

Independent handbag brand Coco Barclay is showing at Who’s Next:

London-based contemporary womenswear designer Eudon Choi will be showing his new Pre-fall 2024 collection at Paper Mache Tiger:

“The Pre-fall 2024 collection draws inspiration from the innovative and unconventional art movement, Mono-Ha, meaning ‘School of Things’. Rooted in a radical departure from conformist artistic practices, the late-1960s movement seeks to establish a symbiotic relationship between natural and industrial materials, reframing the dialogue between art and the surrounding environment.”

Luxury knitwear designer Jo Gordon will be showcasing her AW24 collection at Welcome Edition:

“My appreciation for good making never changes: I love things that are made honestly and function well.”
