Create Growth Programme extends to six new areas

14/11/2023

The Create Growth Programme, delivered by Innovate UK, has been extended to include West Yorkshire, the West Midlands, Hull and East Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Devon and Hertfordshire with an additional £10.9m funding.

The funding aims to help businesses to better monetise their ideas, access resources and attract private investment to scale up and maximise their potential. It has been designed to support the development of creative industries with high-growth potential across England, outside of London.

Through the scheme, businesses will be able to get access to relevant workshops and masterclasses as well as one-to-one mentoring with industry experts. The programme also provides support for hiring and scaling up and investment training programmes.

The amount of funding each area will receive is not set and depends on the individual area’s business needs and the number of businesses that apply for grants and support. More details will become available as the programme progresses.

The programme launched last year with an initial six areas covering Greater Manchester; Leicestershire; the West of England; Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly; East Anglia; the North East; and Kent and the South East. Approximately 1,800 creative businesses and organisations are expected to be supported by the programme with a total funding pot of £28.4m.
