Greenway Logistics can help UKFT members with their logistics setup, warehousing and fulfilment in The Netherlands.

UKFT has partnered with Greenway Logistics to provide members with global logistics solutions. Since its inception, the company has supported dozens of UKFT members in logistics and supply chain operations, including assistance with setup after the UK has left the European Union. Additionally, Greenway Logistics has provided UKFT members with advice on sustainability in logistics, consolidation of sea freight, export solutions and outsourcing logistics.

Outsourcing logistics and warehousing is a concern and a challenging decision for many UK companies. Greenway Logistics believes that outsourcing is often a good solution due to its flexible and lower costs, ability to handle seasonal peaks, improvements in delivery quality and access to new markets.

Many fashion companies from outside Europe choose The Netherlands as their point of entry for establishing their European business and logistics. The Netherlands is particularly well-suited for the fashion, textile and lifestyle industry. It serves as the logistics gateway to Europe (and the rest of the World) with Rotterdam Port and Amsterdam-Schiphol Airport being major hubs, offering fast connections throughout Europe, numerous fiscal advantages (co-contractor VAT transfer) and a genuine entrepreneurial culture.

In the Netherlands, Greenway Logistics works closely with warehousing partner VIM. VIM is a professional one-stop-shop logistics service provider specialising in the fashion, textile and lifestyle industry. VIM operates four warehouses in the Netherlands, totaling approximately 550,000 square feet, both bonded and non-bonded. The company specializes in organizing end-to-end logistics for suppliers and retailers, relieving customers of concerns related to the complexity of the supply chain. VIM’s concept is based on providing peace of mind and scalable, flexible logistics solutions, covering inbound, warehousing, e-fulfilment and outbound services worldwide.

One of the advantages of VIM’s warehousing is the unique “golden floor” principle. This means that VIM only charges for storage costs per square meter that are actually utilised. VIM flexibly adapts to peak periods and fluctuations in activities. During quieter periods, customers are not required to pay for the space that was needed during peak moments. With VIM’s golden floor principle, customers can save an average of 25% on storage costs.

Outsourcing warehousing and fulfillment to a professional partner specialised in fashion, textiles and lifestyle bring ease and cost savings.
