Two new textile care symbols have been added to the Ginetex suite of labelling symbols, as a result of the publication of the new ISO 3758:2023 Standard.

There has also been a revision to the Ginetex technical booklet, providing guidelines on the correct use of the symbols, textile care and labelling. A two-year implementation period from January 2024 is applied to this new edition to allow for the adaptations and changes.

The Ginetex licence is available to UKFT members with Plus membership. The licence is not transferable. Licence holders cannot permit the use of the symbols by any other business or third parties.

2. Gentle hand wash (hand wash tub with one underscore)

• New keyboard layout for applying the Ginetex care symbols using keyboard strokes
