Focused on providing sustainable branding and packaging solutions, its team of branding specialists have helped over 400 clothing brands across the world become more sustainable. “Sustainability is important to us, as we recognise the need to increase the circularity of the fashion industry,” said Genevieve Beaumont, Weavabel’s Marketing Coordinator.

Founded in 1980 in Bradford (UK), the company has grown considerably and now features offices and warehouses in the UK, China, Turkey, Bangladesh, India and Hong Kong. This expansion has allowed Weavabel to support both UK and international brands with making more eco-friendly choices for their labels and packaging.

A large part of its activity includes sourcing environmentally friendly materials such as woven labels made of recycled polyester yarns, printed labels made of organic cotton, compostable swing tickets made of seed paper and water-soluble poly bags. Genevieve said:

”The team has been investing a lot of time and resources into innovation this year. This has culminated in two new sustainable trims & packaging collections.”

The Earth Day and Ocean in Mind collections were designed to help reduce the fashion industry’s ecological impact. Genevieve explained:

“Developed with the earth in mind, our ‘Earth Day’ collection focuses around natural and biodegradable materials such as bamboo, Tencel and cork; perfect for an array of garment branding finishes such as accessory tags, tapes and labels.

‘Ocean in Mind’ is our second collection created and launched in 2023.  With preserving the oceans as a theme, this collection consists of biodegradable polybags and woven labels, FSC algae paper, and labels from recycled nylon – a material common in fishing gear products.”
