Scottish fashion and textile manufacturing employees: Help develop new apprenticeships

23/10/2023

Skills Development Scotland (SDS) is looking for individuals who work in textile manufacturing and textile care to help shape apprenticeships for the sector, as part of a review into the Modern Apprenticeship Fashion and Textiles ‘Heritage’ Frameworks in preparation for 2025 implementation.

The review will focus on the two SCQF Levels (5 and 6) that covers the Leather, Textiles, Textile Care Services, Sewn Products, Leather, Kiltmaking and Tailoring sub-sectors, and we are keen to ensure that all areas within the wider occupation are included. New areas such as Work Situations and Meta-Skills will be included. This employer-led approach to developing apprenticeships in Scotland will ensure that new apprenticeships in Textiles & Fashion Heritage are more responsive, simple and agile.

To give your views, please complete the employer survey below by 24 November 2023.
