04/05/2022

Megan Stoneburner, Fiber and Materials Director at Textile Exchange, will present Tools to measure and monitor sustainable performance at the Sustainability in UK Textiles conference on 12 May 2022.

Megan Stoneburner, Textile Exchange

Megan has more than 10 years of experience in product development and strategy, working in Sustainable Innovation, Inventory Management, and Production and Sourcing of apparel and home goods, with the majority of her career working at Gap Inc. She most recently came from Outerknown where she led Sustainability and Sourcing.

With less than a decade to meet the 1.5°C reduction target set forth by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), Textile Exchange has introduced its 2030 Strategy: Climate+ to directly address the textile and apparel industry’s role in mitigating irreversible climate impacts, and amplifying positive impacts on soil health, water, and biodiversity.

Climate+ will require strong partnerships to accelerate the adoption of existing tools as well as enable disruptive innovation around new business models and zero carbon materials. This session will introduce the pathways to achieve our goals, and the tools and resources available along the journey.
