UK-made face mask for HRH The Princess Royal
A face mask featuring cotton spun in Manchester, woven in Burnley and sewn in London has been developed for Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal by a group of UK textile manufacturers co-ordinated by the UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT).
Following HMG guidelines, The UKFT President has adopted the face masks, which feature her royal cypher, and which highlight the high standards of textile manufacturing in Britain. The Princess Royal will wear these as per HMG guidelines.
Adam Mansell, CEO of UKFT, said: “The Covid-19 crisis is devastating for many reasons but it has been encouraging to see the UK supply chain come together during this time of need. We’re delighted to be able to present the UKFT president with a face mask that has been made from scratch within the UK, which simply wouldn’t have been possible five years ago. HRH The Princess Royal is well known for her strong support to British textile manufacturing.”
